Working as an AmeriCorps leader at 110 Degrees has been a deeply rewarding experience. Helping young people develop their writing and photography skills is such a great way to make a difference in the community on a truly personal, individual level. You really develop close bonds with the youth through one-on-one mentoring, and helping them open up and express themselves to a broad audience is exciting, fun and often moving. Getting to work with the talented staff, volunteers, and youth at Voices is a life-changing experience you’ll find in few other programs.
